Most users were never set back up after the hack with appropriate permissions.  I fixed a few people, including you and Kat, Aivolo, and a few other oldies that i remembered, but if anyone else needs updating, someone actually playing will have to do it.

i am missing the shout box the council forums the prof. boards only can see the beast master one.

I can see the Emperials taking a hit as all the 8-14 year olds will flock to this game!

As the flowers rest on the decorated graves and the sunlight shines on the beautiful sailboats, Uncle Sam whispers in my ear about how we should care for the soldiers and remember the ones that have died. Swimming pools open, BBQs fry. Today is the day to think of what they have done for us. There are blurs of red, white and blue marching down the street and flags are lowered at half-mast. But we should always remember and never forget what set us free, from this very day on.

Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back 30th Anniversary Event

Star Wars Galaxies is celebrating The Empire Strikes Back's 30th anniversary. Each week in May, starting on the 4th, eligible characters will receive a new publish gift. It will contain a collection item and an in-game gift to commemorate the event. Be sure and log in all your characters each week to get them or you will miss out. Once you complete the collection you will receive a fifth gift. Eligible characters are ones that are at least 10 days old (i.e. characters that normally get a publish gift when we offer a new one) and they must log in each week to receive the gift.

In addition, we’ll be adding new rewards as loot drops in Hoth and for purchase using heroic tokens. For the 1st week, we’ll be adding a very interesting loot drop to everyone’s favorite wampa boss, Unkajo. He’ll drop this tradable reward each time:

And this is no ordinary snow globe. Since it came from the Hoth heroic, it has an ability not available in other snow globes. Get one and check it out.

For the last weekend in May (from May 27th through June 1st), we’ll be doing another BONUS EVERYTHING WEEKEND. We have fixed some issues from the last bonus weekend plus we added bonus HEROIC TOKENS to the event. These will be very useful to help you buy some of the new heroic token rewards we’ll be adding all month long.

 

Spring Update

We followed up GU16 with another set of changes focused on addressing top game play and profession issues. We also added some cool new heroic loot drops. Going forward, we are planning to continue to make adjustments to each profession. Let your profession senator know your requests and any changes you think will make your profession more fun. The changes currently on public test that will go out in the next hotfix are for the Jedi profession. The next profession on the list is Beast Master. Don’t worry though; we’re planning on cycling through each profession.

 

No Trade is … No Fun

What can I say – you are right. We agree that too many items in the game are no-trade for no good reason. More tradable items are great for the economy and are more fun for our players. So, we’re going to look at all the no-trade items and start making some of them tradable. As we change them over, we’ll let you know which ones are tradable in the public notes. Feel free to let us know which ones you recommend we change first. And be sure and start saving up those credits as you’ll finally get a chance to buy some of these soon-to-be-tradable rewards.

There are also many items players have asked us about that you cannot get any more, or that you were never able to get, such as certain set decorations that were used by the development team. We’re going through these items as well and plan on making them available in the game.

 

Empire Day & the Star Wars Galaxies 7th Year Anniversary

We’ll be celebrating Empire Day again this year. It will be a similar event as last year but with a new collection and some new rewards. We’re also planning to celebrate the 7-year anniversary of Star Wars Galaxies. Stay tuned for more details.
